We are in the process of creating our "Frequently Asked Questions" page. More Q&A will be contained here soon. Please don't hesitate to contact us if your questions are not answered here.
Why do you charge less for "Additional Copies" of some prints?
This lets you design your own package. Simply start out with the largest print you wish to puchase and then add as many "Additional Copy" print to your order at a savings.
Can't I just order all prints as "Additional Copies"?
No. You must order a "First Print" of an image at a regular price before you can order additional copies. Additional copies must be of the same image and of equal size or smaller than the first print. Although the shopping cart system is unable to determine if you ordered properly, your order will be delayed until we contact you.
Why can't I just scan a print and make my own additional copies?
First of all, that would be illegal. The United States Copyright Act of 1976 grants the creator of an image the exclusive right to control the making of copies. Purchasing a print does not grant you any ownership of that image in regards to the making of additional copies, regardless of the content of the image. Secondly, we create all of your prints from the original image. Our prints are created to the highest standards on professional paper on a color-calibrated system. It would not be possible to achieve the same quality, and perhaps longevity, from a scanned print and/or a home consumer printer. Besides, violators of the copyright act can be liable for civil and criminal penalties. It's just not worth it... order an original.
