"When I saw Peter's work I knew he was the photographer for us."

IMG 0739Prior to hiring Peter Budraitis to photograph our wedding we interviewed several photographers.  It was very important to us that our pictures didn't look staged.

We really wanted someone who had the skills and experience to capture the moment without it appearing "cookie cutter."  When I saw Peter's work I knew he was the photographer for us.

Our wedding ceremony was at Morgan's Park in Glen Cove.  The day before the wedding a storm rolled through and devastated the park.  There were 100 year old trees uprooted along the paths of the park with several large tree branches down.  An army could not clean the park in time for our wedding.  My husband and I had two choices.  Scramble for another location or make the best of it.  We decided to make the best of things and get married in the park.

That's where Peter's creativity, professionalism and know-how came into play.  What could of been seen as a disaster, turned out to be the best day we ever imagined.  We had so much fun shooting our wedding photos and were able to get some beautiful non-tradditional shots, along with some precious tradidional shots.

We really had fun working with Peter as he was able to helps us seize the moment and really get creative.

The only problem is we had so many beautiful prints it was so tough choosing which ones would make it into our book.  Every time I look at them I cry because they bring me back to the best day of my life.  If you want someone who is truly talented and is easy to work with, Peter is your guy.

...it is a cruel, ironical art, photography. The dragging of captured moments into the future; moments that should have been allowed to be evaporate into the past; should exist only in memories, glimpsed through the fog of events that came after. Photographs force us to see people before their future weighed them down....
